Matt Diff is an American poet/songwriter who wrote and recorded three solo acoustic albums between the ages of 21 and 23: Americana Nirvana (2004); Lost in New York (2005); and, Life & Death, Love & War (2006). Heavily influenced by Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, and Bruce Springsteen, the production on these albums was intentionally stripped-down to showcase Matt's poetic lyrics and storytelling.

A selection of songs is now available to stream or download on Bandcamp.  For new music, please check out California Sound Experiment

Matt's recordings were never commercially promoted, but were instead simply given to friends who took interest in his artistic abilities. Continuing in that spirit, a "best of" selection of songs are now available to stream or download on this website.  If you are so inclined, the songs are also available to purchase on iTunes.
